Alter-A-Tions: What does it mean to you? Do you use your hands to alter or is your mind altered? Experimental Art Gallery posed this question to artists, and received entries including: a 1 1/2 inch book made from a rejected novel, a six foot high sculpture comprised of piano parts, and an eerily beautiful photograph depicting a laundry nightmare. The resulting exhibit is thought provoking.
The exhibits features 49 works by 31 artists, from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Maine.
Gallery Hours: Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m, Thursday: 11 a.m.-7 p.m, Sunday, noon-6 p.m.

Experimental Art Gallery & Studio is located in the heart of downtown Salem, at 24 New Derby Street, at the corner of Front Street (across from The Lobster Shanty). Parking is available in Klop Alley, directly adjacent to Artists' Row. The gallery is a 5-minute walk from the Salem Commuter Line.
